Lancaster Photographic Society

Lancaster Photographic Society

The Society was founded in 1889 following a proposal by Mr Joseph Parkinson at the Lancaster Science Students Association, and the first meeting was held on 11th April 1889 at 21 Cheapside.

Lancaster Photographic Society is for anyone with an interest in photography.

Everyone is welcome! We are people who make pictures purely for the joy of making pictures. Our members use all kinds of photographic equipment, from film cameras to the latest DSLRs to mobile phones.

We have over 50 members from all age ranges and multiple diversities. As well as weekly meetings September-May, we run workshops and organise photographic trips.

The photographic equipment that you have isn't important, so come along and learn how to develop your photography skills.
